Don't speak in the ears of a fool

Proverbs 23:9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

Strong's defines a fool as one that is stupid or silly.

Note the definitions below for stupid and silly...

A stupid person is one that greatly lacks intelligence or common sense. A stupid person lacks the ability to learn and understand things.

Silly describes something that can't be taken seriously.

Put this all together and we could say, speak not in the ears of one that lacks intelligence, common sense and the ability to learn and understand things, for such a one will despise or disrespect you.

Matthew 15:13-14 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

What is the application here...

Stop talking to fools.

Leave those alone that are blind to truth.

Ask God to send you to those that are seeking for truth.
